Large Red Oak
On Thursday night after the storm this 40 inch Northern Red Oak fell over. The increase saturation and wind combined to cause the soil to fail. Once the soil began to shift it increased the compression load on the roots. The compression overloaded and snapped the root system which lead to a whole tree failure.
